Information We Disclose

We do not share nonpublic personal information about our current or former customers with any third parties except as follows:

  • To our financial service affiliates (such as Independence Trust Company) about our experiences or transactions with you or your account, such as your name and address.
  • To comply with federal or state laws and other applicable legal requirements.
  • To third parties assisting us in delivering products or services requested by you. For example, we may share personally identifying information with third parties that assist us in check printing, data processing, a sale of your mortgage into the secondary market, or the processing and clearing of your checks.
  • To third parties who perform services for the Bank or who function on the Bank's behalf. For example, these may include third parties that assist us with mailing activities and third parties that assist us in marketing our products.
  • We may share your name, address and telephone number to other financial institutions with whom we have agreements to jointly market financial products or services, such as credit cards.
  • To other third parties as permitted or required by law, such as for the transmission of information to consumer reporting agencies or responding to a subpoena, court order, judicial process or to regulatory authorities.

Privacy Opt-Out

Unless otherwise permitted by law, you may limit our sharing of all information that you provide to us or we obtain from our affiliates. You may opt-out of our sharing information to our affiliates by contacting us and clearly indicating your decision to opt-out by:

  • Visiting one of our convenient offices during regular business hours
Should you decide to opt-out, you also prevent our affiliates from marketing their products and services to you based on the information that we share with them. The opt-out does not apply in certain circumstances, such as if you currently do business with one of our affiliates or if you ask to receive information or offers from them. If you choose to opt-out, it will remain in effect as long as you are a customer. You may always change your instructions at any time in the future by following the opt-out instructions above.
 
If your customer relationship with us is a joint relationship, any of the joint names may exercise the right to opt-out and the direction will apply to all associated joint owners.

 

Our Security Procedures and Information Accuracy

At Franklin Savings Bank, employee access to personally identifiable customer information is limited to those with a business reason to know such information. Our employees are educated on the importance of maintaining customer privacy and confidentiality of customer information. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulation to protect customer information. We also maintain internal controls to keep customer information as accurate and complete as possible.
 

Medical Privacy

We do not share medical or health information with any person except to process transactions or to provide services you have requested or initiated, such as may be obtained from applications for credit insurance.
