Statement of Mutuality
For nearly two centuries mutual savings banks have provided high quality financial services to the citizens of their communities. Mutual savings banks were founded by individuals specifically to provide community access to the financial services they needed, but were unable to acquire through other means. Chartered in 1869, Franklin Savings Bank represents one of the few remaining mutual savings banks in New Hampshire.
As is characteristic of mutual savings banks, Franklin Savings Bank utilizes customers' deposits primarily to make loans within the communities it serves. As a true community bank, we actively partner with an array of local organizations and activities through financial support and direct participation. In our continuing effort to be a good corporate citizen, we preserve a tradition of service to both the individuals and communities we serve.
